Today, the trendy topic is DIY receptions, by
using an ipod and
a rented sound system, instead of a professional wedding
entertainer, the DJ. This idea is fraught with peril, because a
great event is more than simply gear and music. It is the talent
that a qualified professional brings to the event that matters
most. It is what allows for a smooth flow to the event, with no
embarrassing surprises.
Your
wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. It
is also an occasion where every detail must be planned to
perfection.
You want the best dress, the most exotic food, the 25 flower
girls and you want it all in pale yellow.
Unfortunately sometimes, even with all your efforts to get
everything just right, things don't work out exactly as you had
imagined. The table runners are baby blue instead of powder
blue, two of your guests don't arrive, and the waiters help
themselves to your Champaign.
People are not perfect, mistakes happen, colors look different
in certain light, and some people don't know their boundaries.
But you probably knew that anyway.
We don't want you to worry about your entertainment! We
will create the perfect atmosphere, making you the centre of
attraction, allowing you to forget the small things that don't
go so right and making your guests talk for weeks.
We have extensive experience with weddings, creating an
atmosphere to set the mood and giving you what you want. We can
do any type of wedding and provide everything from the music to
the lights on the dance floor and even MC.
We will meet with you to discuss your needs, and help you plan
the perfect day.
PRICE?
Most wedding days are about 10 - 12
hours from the chapel to the reception. This means that our
Wedding DJ will be at your wedding for more than 12 hrs of the
day.
However, a lot of couples don't need an entertainer at the
ceremony, but need them only at the reception. If this is what
you need, our charge is R1600.00 for a 6hr reception (say from 6
- 12pm). We will provide the music equipment, the music itself,
the mics, the lights, and even a smoke machine for you.
If you need us to manage the sound at your ceremony as well, the
total charge for the ceremony and the reception will be
R2200.00. Here we will provide the music for the ceremony, the
mics for the minister, the sound equipment, ect and all the
entertainment needs for the reception as well.
Remember, that a wedding has very many different aspects to it,
like the speeches, the dinner, the pre-drinks, the photos, the
dancing, and lots more, and all this needs to be managed by our
wedding DJ. We will only provide the MOST experienced Wedding DJ
for you and will ensure that you wedding runs smoothly.
